Paper Plane is a charitable foundation that collects gently used or new school supplies from community residents and businesses, in order to redistribute them to needy children in inner city elementary schools in Vancouver. Public school teachers currently spend hundreds of dollars of their own income to provide basic supplies to some of their less fortunate students. Paper Plane will level the playing field, ensuring that all students will have the learning tools they need regardless of their family's financial status. Paper Plane will work with the teaching community to determine on-going needed supplies, such as computers, books, paper, pencils and backpacks, and will establish a centre for receiving, holding and distributing these to needy students.

Since the concept must appeal both to young children and adults, the brand is based on a universally understood symbol that represents the idea of moving forward- the paper plane. Simple geometric shapes and learning tool icons are combined with cheerful colours,  evoking a child-like nature that is both youthful and sophisticated.
